Global Head of Compliance Assurance - Financial Services - Edinburgh - ASAP Start - Contract - 6 months - Negotiable day rate

Duration: 6 months

My highly respected Financial Services client in Edinburgh city centre urgently requires a Global Head of Compliance Assurance on an initial 6 month contract.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Be a member of the Conduct and Compliance leadership team
  • Lead and develop a team of senior compliance assurance professionals to achieve quality and deliver performance - talent, succession, performance,
  • development
  • Provide functional leadership of the global compliance assurance team
  • Identify areas of the business that require increased assurance activity and input into wider compliance managerial discussions on regulatory compliance
  • within the business.
  • Attend where appropriate key management committees and Boards to present and report on global compliance assurance issues and market trends.

Experience required

  • Experienced compliance professional with relevant experience gained in financial services sector with strong understanding and experience of the asset
  • management sector.
  • Extensive experience of current and emerging regulatory compliance and risk emerging market trends, methods and tools.
  • Experience in leading and developing compliance assurance professionals - - succession planning, talent, performance
  • Experience of delivery high quality output within an robust control and regulatory framework to tight deadlines.

  • Highly driven, energetic and robust individual who positively engages with the business
  • Gravitas and strong stakeholder management skills to gain the respect of the executive management team, key stakeholders and colleagues across the
  • business globally.
  • Self motivated and proactive individual driven to lead a team of professionals
  • Highly credible and proactive communicator who can engage internally and externally with presence and authority.
  • Proven track record in clear and concise written and oral communication and presentation.

Qualifications
Degree qualified or with relevant professional qualifications eg risk, compliance, legal, accountancy
