Location: South East Based - Travel is required.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Travel Requirements:

The Events Manager will spend a large proportion of their time off-site at venues across the South East of the UK as well as at a location in the East Midlands. This may be as frequent as weekly. The candidate will also be expected to travel to event locations.

The Events Manager will be accountable for the planning and delivery of internal events as well as contributing to defining and delivering the Events Strategy.The planning and delivery of events includes managing multiple events simultaneously dealing with various suppliers and agencies to ensure that we are managing our costs effectively while delivering the event as agreed with internal stakeholders. As a member of the Shared Services Team, the job holder must demonstrate the ability to work well across the team with other colleagues to deliver effective solutions for stakeholders.

Accountabilities

Act as a specialist advisor to stakeholders in providing original creative solutions for events.
Identify a range of suitable venues for future events.
Where possible run back to back events to minimise set up and venue charges.
Identify cost effective event solutions that meet business stakeholder requirements and reflect the Client's brand.
Provide all on site event management support to internal Stakeholders
Attend all necessary planning meetings with stakeholders and provide regular updates on the progress/status of all live events.
Identify best practice for the client including the development of self-service tools and templates.
Tracking of all event spend across the organisation

Work Experience

Extensive event management experience (minimum of 3 years' experience) within a corporate environment.
Experience of event and production delivery in an international environment.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of leading edge practice in production and events.

Understanding of supplier quotes
