Finance Manager - Project Accounting
A Finance Manager with Project Accounting experience is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Glasgow.
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Finance Manager contract role
Provision of high quality Project Accounting support to the Programme Director through effective processes, high quality analysis of data and effective communications cross-functionally within the Programme and with the Finance function.
The Finance Manager will be a key team member of the Programme Support team. The role is tasked with informing the Management Team with the financial status of the Programme
ie Someone with experience of working as a management accountant in industry. Someone to help with a variety of management accounting tasks whilst we work through a series of changes to systems and org structure.
Key skills required for the Finance Manager
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to cope with complex and uncertain environment
- Self-confidence and good judgement
- Ability to balance being supportive and challenging to programme teams
- Attention to detail and right-first-time mindset
- Familiarity with defence contracting and accounting processes
- CIMA Qualified or Equivalent
The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh
