Interim CFO - Circa £1250/£1500 per Day LTD - Manchester

My client has an immediate requirement for an interim CFO to join their business for a period of 8 months. The appoint will cover a period of transition and support the appointment of a new, permanent CFO as well as drive significant operational change.

The successful candidate will be required to lead investment appraisal and ongoing finance monitoring in connection with technology and business transformation projects. This role will require a finance leader who is very comfortable in a significant change environment within a large business.

Key Accountability's:

  • Accountable for all Finance, tax and treasury activities
  • Finance business partner to the Executive team
  • Managing senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Deputise for the Chief Executive when required
  • Responsibility for developing annual budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure the highest standards of financial control and regulatory compliance
  • Develop Real Time and relevant reporting driving useful commentary
  • Enable business decision making on a day-to-day basis using analysis
  • Lead the development and improvement of key business processes
  • Leadership and development of the Finance team

Candidate Profile:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience of managing a sizeable team in a large business
  • Managing teams through periods of change in a large business
  • Strong experience of working capital management
  • Ability to deal with technical accounting issues and IFRS
  • A background in a B2B businesses
  • Demonstrable, hands on experience of business process improvements and managing billing and cash collection
  • Experience gained as a Finance Director in a standalone company or an autonomous division used to operate and presenting at board level
  • Sound knowledge of current best practice in corporate governance, audit and risk management and financial reporting and processes
  • Experience of establishing and delivering a robust finance function
