I am looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for new role with one of my major clients.
This Electrical Design Engineer position is seen as a key role for the business in the short term as it seeks to increase capacity in order to continue to grow. The current position is for 8 months with a possible extension.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Effective communication with customers in order to manager the Development, Design and Customisation of Electrical Control Systems to meet their needs.
- Production of electrical, control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including:
- Single line diagrams
- Load schedules
- Block Cable diagrams
- Control philosophies
- Instrument schedules
- Control system & communications block diagrams
- Liaison with Project Management team regarding job progress and to ensure all documentation is supplied to contract terms.
- Co-ordination of delivery, erection and commissioning of Control Panels and Motor Control Centres.
- Have experience using AMTECH or CAD
Experience required:
- Ability to implement electrical layouts and schematic drawings.
- Experience of having worked in the Water Industry is essential.
- Good problem solving and diagnostic skills, attention to detail and a track record for delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of colleagues as well as having the ability to work on own initiative without supervision.
