Project Manager - Insurance - Rectifications - 6 months - Edinburgh - £356/day

A top retail bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Project Manager to join a Rectifications programme for an initial 6 month period.

Overview of the Programme/Project

Rectifications are production problems where a customer has incurred financial detriment. Projects deal with these problems, identify their cause, impact and then put the customer back into the position they would have been in had the problem not occurred. Customers need to be remediated, and the costs of their compensation and the administering of this is covered by provisions.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

To drive, lead and deliver complex projects ranging in size and value. To actively manage stakeholders ensuring that key decisions are made in a timely manner and that delivery plans are achieved. To operate within the agreed risk and governance structure of the business unit. To actively manage project costs and deliver a fair outcome for customers.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Stakeholder management (Business and Project).
  • Confident communication with colleagues.
  • Demonstrate resilience that enables consistent high quality results.
  • Analytical skills: Take a set of requirements and turn them into a robust, comprehensive, traceable test plan.
  • Able to use prior contract experience to add value to decisions made.
  • Aware of external risks that could impact own delivery and Aware of how own actions could pose a risk to others.
  • Shares knowledge with others to improve the overall team.
  • Candidates have to have a proven record in UAT and can demonstrate that their skills have been in demand by having at least one contract extension on their CV.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Life and Pensions experience beneficial
  • Experience of working with agile methodologies
  • Involved in rollout of agile methodology when previously waterfall
