Description

I am currently looking for an electrically biased engineer with mechanical experience to work on a water project in the Bristol area.

The client is looking for a MEICA engineer with 5+ years' experience to work in their offices with occasional site visits.

Experience in the following would be beneficial:

- Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Experience (E&I Bias)
- Electrical (cable sizing, cable routing, electrical install)
- Instrumentation (load list, equipment specification) (beneficial, not essential)
- Mechanical (pump sizing, specification, piping)
- Waste to Energy, Water, Waste Water, power background preferable
- Ability to use CAD beneficial, not essential
- Knowledge and understanding of P&IDs

Experience in the following would also be of value:

  • Effective communication with customers in order to manager the Development, Design and Customisation of Electrical Control Systems to meet their needs.
  • Production of electrical, control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including:
  • Single line diagrams
  • Load schedules
  • Block Cable diagrams
  • Control philosophies
  • Instrument schedules
  • Control system & communications block diagrams
  • Liaison with Project Management team regarding job progress and to ensure all documentation is supplied to contract terms.
  • Co-ordination of delivery, erection and commissioning of Control Panels and Motor Control Centres.
  • Have experience using CAD or relevant software

The client has a role for an Electrical Engineer to be based in my clients offices but supporting projects onsite. You will support functions through procurement, tenders, confirming the scope of supply and managing packages of works delivered onsite. The role will be to start in the office and will move onto site. The role also contains a career progression opportunity.

The role will be a 50/50 split of office work and site work

Rate: £65 per hour
