Operations Associate

This position is responsible for boarding new network alliance partners and providing operational support to network alliance partners in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Support local Business Development teams to expand business and acceptance footprints. This includes providing support during the sales cycle including operational solution, boarding new network alliance partners, and assisting contract negotiation and Due Diligence.
  • Provide day to day support for the department in answering overall questions on network alliance partner processing. This includes researching complex situations, and supporting other account executives on addressing questions that may be arise on their network alliance portfolio
  • Manage the Network Alliance partners within the assigned implementation portfolio. This includes comprehending their specific line of business, resource availability, challenges, and their full end to end transaction processing methodology.
  • Demonstrate knowledge as a subject matter expert to mentor others in the department. Display leadership role in executing special department initiatives. Lead the department to ensure processes/projects are well documented to meet auditing requirements.
  • Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated cross functional knowledge of the Payment Network Industry focusing on operations and relationship management, which results in the ability to make critical project recommendations and decisions.
  • Experience and knowledge in international payment network systems, technical and operational knowledge in authorization, clearing/settlement, and dispute process will be strongly desirable.
  • Experience in EMV/chip card processing from either issuer or acquirer perspective is considered a plus
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multi-faceted project throughout the entire project life cycle. Demonstrated skills in leading a group of people towards meeting a common project milestone/goal.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in parallel.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated ability to work & lead teams independently with little direct supervision and flexible with working hours.
  • Strong communication skills which allow effective communication with all levels of employees, customers and management.
  • Excellent writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to create presentations, reports and persuasive papers (position papers).
  • Skills developing and delivering presentations to both internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to analyze existing processes and identify ways to automate and streamline them.
  • Experience in creating or contributing to financial reporting. This may include a financial plan, variance report or a cost/benefit analysis associated with a specific project.
  • Fluent speaking and writing in European languages such as French, Spanish, German foreign languages will be a plus. Fluency in Non-European languages such as Arabic will be a plus.
