Corporate Tax Manager, Warwick, Contract

Major Utilities company is looking to appoint an experienced Tax focussed professional on an interim basis to their Warwick Offices. The role will have a tax compliance focus, tax returns, tax reporting, with an element of advisory work.

Technical

  • Tax reporting

Supporting the Group Reporting Manager in preparing and delivering:

  • The consolidated Group tax numbers and Disclosure notes for the Annual Report and Accounts under IFRS as well as for the half year
  • Tax pro-forma for the UK Statutory Accounts under UK GAAP
  • Ad hoc monthly, half yearly and yearly tax workings in support of the Group tax numbers and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Excel knowledge imperative and knowledge of a tax reporting software and/or SAP ECC/BPC would be advantageous
  • Management Reporting

Providing support in the delivery of the tax reporting for the 10 year Plan, Budget, monthly Finance Report and Forecast. Preparation of the quarterly instalment payments.

  • Overseas Compliance

Managing the compliance of the non US based overseas companies in the Group. This will include preparation of the CFC analysis for all overseas entities.

  • Compliance and accounts cycle

Will be responsible for the compliance and accounts work for the companies which will be allocated to him/her.

This will entail:

  • Calculation of tax numbers for his/her companies which will feed into the group accounts
  • Calculation and review of tax numbers and disclosures for his/her companies for the solus company accounts
  • Overseeing the outsourced tax return compliance process for his/her companies
  • Providing input on areas of compliance where the company provides information to the outsourced service provider, eg analysis of certain expenses
  • Dealing with HMRC enquiries for allocated companies
  • Managing the outsourced transfer pricing process which supports the tax compliance work

Qualifications

  • Recognised accountancy qualification required eg ACA/ACCA
  • Recognises Taxation qualification nice to have
