Newly Qualified Finance Analyst: High-Profile Charity: World Leading Energy Co.

Start Date: ASAPDuration: 6 - 8 MonthsRate: £300 per day

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Finance Analyst to join a small team.

Working for this UK-based charity, that supports pioneering social enterprises and institutions that serve low-income communities lacking access to affordable energy and transport services.

The Role:

  • Coordinate due diligence on Partners, suppliers and donor
  • Process payments to Partners including booking in accounting system
  • Vender set-up
  • Process invoice payment
  • Undertake month end, quarter end and year end clos
  • Prepare quarterly management reporting
  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements and notes
  • Respond to audit requests for both statutory accounts and major donor
  • Prepare materials for Board meetings
  • Respond to due diligence requests from potential donors
  • Maintain System Awards Management registration
  • Manage annual Partner Assurance process
  • Undertake sample-based review and audit of partner spend
  • Trade controls compliance reporting
  • VAT reporting and compliance
  • UK and US tax returns
  • Monthly programme management reporting
  • Migration of data into a new accounting system
  • Potential to work with Partners to help them address finance challenges

The Candidate:

  • You will be a newly qualified Accountant with either ACA/CIMA, ideally with experience in a charity/foundation capacity.
  • Adaptable and can hit the ground running.
  • The successful candidate will need to be fairly flexible about the type of work they perform.

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
