Senior Project Leader Strategy and Deployment EST (Engineering Science and Technology) (m/f)

Main tasks:
  • Work with global/regional program leaders to manage all project activities in their field of responsibility
  • Design project plans and execute projects based on those plans
  • Determine resource requirements and priorities for a given project and communicate these requirements to management in a regular and timely fashion
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion
  • Monitor progress of all major tasks/milestones through to completion with all project team members and other assigned owners to maintain accurate visibility of project status
  • Forecasts, plan, track and report on project budget status
  • Report/escalate any slippage that impacts the planned deployment dates
  • Identify the critical path and work with team pull in/maintain completion dates
  • Stand in for Program leaders when required
  • Develop/maintain full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
  • Adhere to the corporate project management methodology
  • On demand, lead initiatives and coordinate cross-functional team at regional level to drive business and organizational results
  • Work with internal partners in the global organization, including business units, researchers, sales consultants, marketing and product development personnel
  • Manage project risks, including mitigation plans
  • Keep senior management informed on program status
  • Link and align activities with WW EST


Main qualifications
  • Higher education in Industrial- or Mechanical- or Process Engineering
  • Project Management training/certification – e.g. FPX, Diploma, Masters, PMP, Prince
  • Lean/Six Sigma certificate and experience (process optimization/change management)
  • Audit certification and experience
  • Profound related business experience in a technical environment with solid experience in project management role
  • Background in Medical Device, high tech or regulated industry preferred
  • Experience in a global matrixed management role
  • Skilled in MS Project and MS Office applications
  • Good understanding of LEAN and Six Sigma Concepts
  • Ability and willingness to coach and support the clusters/sites
  • Ability to manage multiple activities or projects in parallel with sound analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent planning & organizing skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the medical device quality system regulation required (ISO & QSR)
  • Big Picture orientation with attention to detail: able to operate in different “worlds” simultaneously, can zoom in or out as needed
  • Minimum Language required in English: business fluent; German: an advantage
