Description:

Job Purpose

To sustain and improve the health and quality of the CoE's master data objects in the company's ERP systems by providing effective data standards and data management processes

To monitor the data quality and service performance achieved using the standards and processes, using the results:

o To deliver exception management, and continuous improvement, to manage and reduce data quality issues and risks, in order to sustain and improve the quality of data

o To ensure that service issues and risks are managed and reduced, in order to sustain and improve the optimum service delivery

To provide expert advice and explanation for the Data standards and Data management processes where they impact data migrations and BAU (Business As Usual)

o To communicate with a range of individuals and groups within the company, including migrations and other projects, Local Operating Company (LOC), Global Process Owners (GPO), Core Business Services (CBS), and Offshore Shared Services (OSS)

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Accountable for the data standards and data processes for master data objects in ERP systems that sustain and improve data quality

o Responsible for ensuring that the data quality monitoring rules in place govern effectively how the data standards are applied for each object, and for identifying additional rules where gaps exist

o Responsible for documenting the data standards and quality rules, and maintaining the data definitions, working within the team and with other EDMO teams as required

o Responsible for identifying and investigating continuous improvement opportunities in the data standards, data quality rules, and data maintenance processes for each master data object in ERP systems, working with other SMEs, LOC and CBS Data Stewards, LOC teams, Communities of Practice, and other Data Management teams as required

o Responsible for analysing diverse business data sources, to further understand master data uses and management, to support the continual review of existing data and processes, and to support the management of shared data

o Responsible for executing master data maintenance processes where appropriate

Accountable for the delivery of Data Quality Metrics

o Responsible for defining the data quality metrics and target levels for the relevant data objects, working within the EDMO and with business users as appropriate

o Responsible for providing periodic visual metrics to stakeholder groups, including: LOC and CBS Data Stewards, EDMO, Global Process Owners, Operational Data Steering Group, etc.

o Responsible for providing a data verification service for data migrations of master data objects, comparing prepared migration data to the standards and quality rules

Accountable for ensuring corrective actions to remediate bad or conflicting data are understood and taken by the appropriate data requester or data steward

o Responsible for reporting and explaining required corrective actions to BAU data requesters or stewards

o Responsible for reporting and explaining required corrective actions to data migration analysts and leads

o Responsible for complying with appropriate controls identified by the EDMO management team to ensure data management processes are compliant with regulatory requirements
