Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. This is initially a 9 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and manage the Accountancy team ensuring an efficient and effective accountancy service in accordance with legislative requirements, Codes of Practice and the clients strategies.
You will be responsible for the clients budget processes from end to end as well as their Financial Strategy, bringing all of them together and provide projections and advice on available resources. You will also provide financial advice with respect to the financial management of their finances. You will also be responsible for overall control of their Capital Programme and ensure all Capital Expenditure and its finances are accounted for correctly in line with CIPFA Code of Practice. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of Final Accounts process ensuring they are completed within statutory requirements.
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Finance Manager who is a CCAB qualified and has 2 years minimum supervisory experience. You will also have experience/knowledge of public sector finance.
