Oracle Database Administrator - Luxembourg
Morson International are working with a global consultancy who are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join their team in Luxembourg. This is initially a 1 year contract with a number of extensions. The Oracle Database Administrator will be working in a fast-paced environment on exciting projects.
The Oracle Database Administrator will be involved in the:
. Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in Business Intelligence and reporting.
. Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and business case analysis related to Business Intelligence and reporting.
. Design and development of online analytical data processing (OLAP)
. Creation and maintenance of a data warehouse
. Development of data mining solutions
. ETL processes
. Data analysis and Datamodelling
. Design and development of reporting applications
. Physical DB design
. DB performance analysis
. Elaboration of test programs
. Writing of technical documentation
. Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
. Participation in meetings with the project teams
The successful Oracle Database Administrator will have:
. MA + at least 9 years of experience in an IT related field
. Ability to create and analyse complex Oracle SQL queries is essential
. Continuous improvement approach to the data sources and existing organizational practices
. In-depth knowledge of data warehouse architecture
. In-depth knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse
. In depth knowledge of SQL
. In depth knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting tools
. In-depth knowledge of ETL tools
. Good knowledge of modelling tools
. Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools
. Experience with the Central Management Console (ie scheduling of reports and user access levels) is considered an asset
. ITIL certification is considered an asset
. Experience within a European Institution or a European Body is considered an asset
