* CONTRACT - FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT.*
Urgent requirement for a leading worldwide content and information solutions provider company based in Central London. My client are looking for a Newly Qualified Accountant to handle the financial accounting for the UK and Benelux regions.
The ideal candidate for this role will have around 1 year Post Qualified Experience and industry experience within a large organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor performance of the team and build on the existing relationship. Where possible deliver training and development (ie accounting processes, reviews, clean balance sheets).
- Business partner the LN BENELUX division to assist with Financial Accounting activities at month end and resolve ad hoc questions during the month, including relevant co-ordination and review with the team.
- Preparation of monthly BENELUX VAT return.
- Work with intercompany teams to ensure BENELUX recharges are recorded correctly each month.
- Quarterly reporting in line with consolidation timescales.
- To assist with, and completion of, annual statutory accounts for LNUK entities.
- To work within the wider Global Financial Shared Service team to improve and harmonise accounting practices.
- The collation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Managing the transition of workload to the team under GFSS targeted timescales in H1 2019.
- Annual audit liaison including statutory accounts for smaller entities.
- Ensure sufficient financial controls are in place to meet internal and external requirements including SOX.
- Ensure that activities of the Team are efficient and commercially viable by reviewing current processes to identify improvements and facilitate the required changes.
Top 3 skills required (MUST HAVE):
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
- Financial accounting background
- Statutory accounts experience
