Communications & Engagement Manager - Banking - Travel & Expenses Transformation - 6 months - Edinburgh - £459/day

A top retail bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Communications & Engagement Manager to join a Travel & Expenses Transformation programme for an initial 6 month period.

Overview of the Programme/Project

This role is for a Communications and Engagement Manager to join us in the Travel & Expenses and Connecting People Lab: We're a small team of multi-skilled colleagues based in Edinburgh, delivering an entirely new way of managing Travel & expenses. We're able to offer you training and experience in scrum, the bank's preferred approach to agile development and delivery, for one of the most exciting projects in the bank today. We're still designing our go to model and - ahead of 2019 - we want your help in communicating it across the Group.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Communication:
Ensure the visual identity for the Lab has appropriate visibility in physical space and virtual platforms
Define and own the colleague communications plan & schedule, create content and deliver
Ensure the right thing, in the right sequence to the right audience at the right time
The key liaison point for People Value Stream communications to align on content and approach
Create and manage any local network of communication contacts in business areas
Manage the communications budget in liaison with the Lab and central People Value Stream team
Enable appropriate review and sign off for all communications

Advocacy:
Develop and monitor the stakeholder map for your area - as it relates to business readiness activities.
Encourage and measure advocacy of any changes implemented by the Lab

Community:
Develop the community management approach, plans and schedule for the Lab
Enable appropriate community engagement, collaboration and visibility

People Value Stream Alignment:
Establish and ensure common design principles for engagement (communications, training, advocacy/adoption and community management).
Oversee all engagement approaches & plans across Lab/Programme/Projects
Enable appropriate review and sign off for all engagement activities
Provide visibility of all engagement activities being driven by the People Value Stream to all Business Areas/Functions (incl. GT & P&P)

Essential Skills and Experience

Change Management experience 3years +
Strong stakeholder management skills
Previous experience of working as a Communications and Engagement Specialist
Change management experience and working knowledge of Financial Service
Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience of working on a Agile programme
