Description

Primary objectives:

  • The client has made the strategic decision to take ownership of the transport management IT capability from its 3rd party managed service provider.
  • The core responsibility of the supply chain architect is to define the target IT solution landscape that will enable the business strategic vision for transport and logistics management, and the architecture work products to transition the current solution landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define roadmaps and strategic architecture vision for the Supply Chain - transport and logistics area
  • Suggest potential work products that to transition to the strategic architecture.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop viable solution options taking into consideration functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Document the chosen solution option and take ownership through the governance process.
  • Act as a focal point for system-wide knowledge.
  • Support development teams or systems integrators to deliver the solution as specified in the agreed design.
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure system delivers the expected business value.
  • Gather marketplace/industry intelligence from internal and external sources.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

Ten or more years systems/solutions architecture experience is essential.

Excellent skills and knowledge of architecture Supply Chain Transport and logistics IT solutions is essential

Knowledge of fleet tracking software/services available on the market eg Paragon and experience of integrating them

Experience required:

Knowledge of Agile and Lean development approaches is desirable

Ability to manage ambiguity and conflicting demands is essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

Exposure to JIRA and Confluence is a desirable

Working experience of the broker agile delivery model is desirable.

Note:

Must have experience into strong transport management experience with Route Planner/Route Optimisation tooling including Paragon and others.
Skills must be visible in the profile.
