SAP Release Manager required by Whitehall Resources for a 10 month initial contract based in Bergen.

Description:

The SAP Release Manager will own the SAP Change and Release Management life cycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for the SAP environment and non-SAP integrated applications. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware & application upgrades.
Define release and deploy strategy and plans for SAP
Approve the release into the production environment
Knowledge of SOX and Reports
Define and maintain processes and tools to govern, control and execute change across teams and projects, within the framework of Change & Release Management for SAP
Reporting (daily/weekly/monthly/ad-hoc) for Change requests.
Ensure that a unifiedset of policies and procedures are defined and consistent across all applications within the client IT Domain
Responsible for the full life cycle of Changes & Release assigned to the Change Manager
Mediate conflicts related to the change (if required)
Drive ordinary, extraordinary and maintenance CAB meetings
Attend and assist with the Infrastructure and Application CABs

Required Skills: - ITIL v3 Certification
- Excellent communication & coordination skills
- Knowledge of SAP Transports
- Tracking and follow-ups
- MS Office (Excel in particular)
- SAP awareness/overview

Good to have:
- SAP Solution Manager ITSM/CHARM
- Any other ticketing tool (USD/Remedy/Service Now)
- Experience in any of the SAP Modules (technical/functional). Preferred ABAP/Functional Modules
