NHS client is recruiting for 4 regional "Special Projects - Account Managers" based regionally in around either London, Midlands, North or South
Within the defined region, the Special Projects Account Manager will undertake a review of the implications of the UK leaving the EU upon the supply of medical devices and clinical consumables (MDCC).
As part of its contingency planning approach, the client has undertaken an analysis of supply chains identifying those products routinely imported into the UK from EU countries.
The Special Projects Account Manager will be responsible for reviewing in detail the implications of EU exit within the defined region and their ability to ensure that organisations providing NHS services will continue to have uninterrupted access to the products they need, whatever the outcome of the EU exit negotiations. Most important of all, the review will involve the identification and mitigation of potential risks to the continuity of supply if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.
Experience required:
Minimum 6 years working in Sales environment with operational experience
Significant experience of Business to Business sales in a multi-channel environment and experience of developing forecasts and delivering against these
Experience of managing a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership, as well as the capability to influence and directly engage a wide range of stakeholders to achieve desired results
Experience of working in multi-supplier service environments
Excellent communications skills, written and oral, articulate and robust in presenting ideas.
Strong strategic, analytical investigative and problem solving skills.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills, a good builder of productive relationships, able to gain support from all quarters. Able to build relationships through limited contact with customers
Making sound judgments and bringing in new ideas in complex situations including:
- Demonstrating analytical insight;
- Being able to establish key elements and priorities in complex situations;
- Encouraging innovation
Political awareness and awareness of broader aspects which may impact on the area of expertise.
Desirable
Capable of and experience of working outside normal professional and own comfort boundaries
Extensive knowledge of the Supplier/Category Tower market and wider stakeholder groups
Relevant experience of risk management, corporate governance and quality management systems
Project planning and management techniques.
Knowledge of NHS and government policies.
