Senior Accountant - London, Hanger Lane.
A very well-established business that owns multiple UK entities are looking to add an enthusiastic and diligent Senior Accountant to their team on an initial 6 month contract, to manage a medium sized accounts function whilst ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation of monthly Management & Statutory accounts.
Working within the property investment arm of this business, you will help to ensure the accounts department runs smoothly at all times, making sure that tight deadlines are consistently met and all queries are dealt with in a timely fashion. Some of your typical duties will include, preparation of monthly management & statutory accounts for various entities within the group, assisting in the preparation for the year-end audit, as well as managing and mentoring the other junior and Financial Accountants within the team.
In order to be suitable for this role it is ESSENTIAL that you have exposure to working within the property industry and you must be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA). As you'll often be communicating with key stakeholders and senior management, your commination skills need to be excellent both written and orally. In addition to the above, strong Excel abilities are considered a prerequisite; you should be comfortable with VLOOKUP's and Pivot tables. Whilst not essential, previous experience using Sage, QUBE or Cognos would be a distinct advantage to your application.
