Development manager of IT

Field of activity
In your position as IT Development Manager, you will interface between development teams, project management and functional analysts in order to plan and follow-up on the development of mission critical business services and IT applications, to provide consolidated reporting and to act on issues occurring during the development and testing period.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Together with SMEs define a WBS on high-level scope items
- Based on WBS schedule the various development items according to pre-defined priorities
- Project schedule plan creation, maintenance and tracking (via GitHub and/or MS Project)
- Review, analyse and comment business requirements.
- Detailed reporting about development status, including pending issues.
- Drive the resolution of issues encountered during development or testing
- Interface between IT development, functional analysts and project management.
- Work with prescribed methodologies for involvement in all stages of project life cycle.
- Work together with business and IT to facilitate resolution of issues and defects during System and Business Acceptance testing.
- Usage of in-house tools to manage software life cycle
- Supervise the creation of a transition timeline for production implementation, participate in the optimisation of it and manage the testing in dedicated transition test cycles
- Issues, dependencies, risks, assumptions, decisions management
Qualifications/required skills
- University degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
- Several years of experience in the financial industry
- Strong interest in Information Technology.
- Experienced in the use of GitHub and MS Project
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player with a positive and pro-active attitude.
- Ability to work and produce good results under pressure within a team environment
- Ability to meet challenging project deadlines and deliver in a fast moving and change oriented environment.
- Flexibility.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; French/German language skills will be an asset
