Description

Counter Fraud and Irregularity Investigations Manager required for our Central Government client based in Manchester, Coventry, Darlington or Sheffield. The role will be mostly office based however, frequent travel will be required.

You will manage and lead the investigation of complex fraud and financial irregularity allegations against Pre 16 education providers or Post 16 education providers. You will work closely with external stakeholders such as the police, Insolvency Service and Charities Commission. You will also respond in a systematic manner to allegations ensuring detailed investigations are conducted, whilst also pursuing the consequences of irregular behaviour including recoveries and criminal investigation.

The successful candidate will have experience of leading and managing complex investigations in a civil criminal or regulatory environment. You will have recent experience and understanding of the education sector environment, including academies, FE Colleges and Training Providers. You will also have experience of audit approaches, methodology and risk management, with a solid understanding of the regulatory framework governing academies.
