Description

With its projects off Le Tréport and Noirmoutier, the consortium has been awarded the government contract to develop and install two offshore wind parks with combined power generating potential of 1,000 MW. The estimated generating capacity of these wind farms should therefore be sufficient to meet the energy needs of 1.5 million consumers. At the cutting edge of innovation, each of these wind farms will have 62 Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy 8 MW wind turbines.
Construction on the €2bn ($2.26bn) project is scheduled to commence in 2019, while commissioning is planned for 2021.



Job Description:
Make sure that both Work Package QS Teams and Contractors have full and correct understanding of Employer’s contract requirements with specific focus on QAQC aspects and Final Documentation requirements thereof
Implementation of quality during contract execution
Monitor that both Work Package QS Teams and Contractors implement all scheduled provisions of approved QA Plan and QC and Inspection and Tests Plans
Quality surveillance and monitoring of Contractors
Manage the implementation of the Project's QS Plan within the scope of all the contracts awarded by the Work Packages, to assure that all quality-critical provisions of the Contractors’ QC and related support Inspection and Tests Plans are strictly adhered to throughout the execution of the contracts for all the disciplines concerned and all Work Packages
Review Contractors’ actual quality performance based on the QS inputs collected during the course of the contracts execution with a view to maintain the QAQC provisions permanently adapted to the work under progress, and to improve their effectiveness



Skills / Experience required to perform role:
BSc, Graduate engineer or comparable, familiar with engineering, procurement, subcontracting and offshore construction activities
Quality management, preferably in prototype construction project / small series fabrication environments
Understanding of codes, standards and statutory / regulatory issues and associated qualification / certification requirements
Thorough understanding of PDCA methodology and process approach
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards, welding and related techniques, technical documentation and records control and management, HSE and project management
Good communication, networking and influencing skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and in complex partnership arrangements
Strong command of English (Must) and French languages (Good to Have)
