Description

My Client is a dynamic, fast paced and rapidly growing start-up with some exciting growth plans for 2020. With an established, capable & forward-thinking IT Team currently in place, the business is looking to hire a Commercial yet hands-on CTO to drive the team forward in line with company vision & strategy.

Based in centrally located Geneva offices, the CTO will be responsible for:
  • Providing sound technical leadership and leading company's technological development
  • Establishing the company technology vision, strategies, and plans for growth
  • You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure company's technologies are used appropriately
  • Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as advisor of all technologies involved with company
  • Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
  • Establishing software development process and set objectives for process
  • Mentoring team members
  • Supervising workflow of IT department
  • Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
  • Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
  • Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
  • Hands-on Development required during busy periods


The successful incumbent will possess a minimum of 15 years experience including broad hands-on development and effective man-management. An industry background in agriculture would be advantageous as is a Start-Up environment. You will also possess:
  • Ablility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, brand leaders, and other senior management throughout the company
  • Able to be a "big picture" thinker
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to align multiple strategies and ideas
