Description
The Junior IT Transition Manager will be completing the transition management function on client side which will oversee an IT transition as part of an 2nd generation outsourcing. The transition is planned to start beginning of April 2020 (preparational activities will commence in March already) and is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2020.Specific duties may include, although not limited to, the following:
• Work with transition managers (both client and supplier) to ensure transition is planned and executed to schedule, budget and scope
• Responsible for coordinating transition related activities, providing effective team guidance, including information flow to and from project members during project work
• Set-up, maintain and administer transition management related tools and processes (e.g. RAID logs, status reports, D&O tracker, meeting agendas and minutes)
• Support to establish and execute a communication strategy to ensure individuals involved are informed of the transition requirements and progress
• Support transition managers by completing standardized tasks
Skill
Qualifications / Skills:
• At least two years of working experience in the areas of outsourcing advisory, vendor management or transition management
• Fluent in written and spoken English (German is a plus)
• Experience in IT infrastructure projects
• Self-motivated. Works well independently and in a team setting under time constraints
• Quality focus. Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Certified project management skills (e.g. PRINCE2 foundation)
• ITIL foundation certification
