Role:
For our client in the Pharma industry based in Kaiseraugst we are looking for a Business Analyst. This position is for a strong technical business analyst who will be guiding and assisting development team members and business owners in translating requirements into agile user stories. You will be joining a team that is in transition from a traditional waterfall delivery model to a product-centric, scaled agile framework. You have a strong enough foundation in Agile methodologies to help guide a transitional team as well as provide subject matter expertise and best practices support to team members new to Scrum. In this position you will be part of a Release Train delivering a critical product for lab experiment execution to a global customer base within the Dia R&D Informatics solutions portfolio. We are looking for a business analyst with 5 to 7 years of experience and with a strong technical background. The successful candidate will not only work with user stories and requirements but work on the technical specifications as well. Having worked in a product development environment is critical, we do not want IT BAs, we need more technical ones. We need the person to have experience in pharma and its regulated environment. Someone with experience supporting research laboratory execution informatics would be ideal.

Areas of responsibility:
- Guiding and assist development team members and business owners in translating requirements into agile user stories - Support the team in transition from a traditional waterfall delivery model to a product-centric,
scaled agile framework. With a strong enough foundation in Agile methodologies: help guide a
transitional team as well as provide subject matter expertise and best practices support to team
members new to Scrum.
In this position you will be part of a Release Train delivering a critical product for lab experiment
execution to a global customer base within the Dia R&D Informatics solutions portfolio:
- Act as a subject matter expert and coach to the team in Agile methodology, tool usage, decision
making process following the proper guidelines
- Encourage collaboration between teams and Solution Architects/Engineering
- Work with the Release Train Engineer on program execution and operational excellence
- Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos
- Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the
ART and Solution Train and help them improve
- Foster use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
- Work closely with the Product team (Product Manager, Release Train Engineer, Product
Owner(s), developers, scrum master, Business Analysts, technical resources, and other
stakeholders
- Manage and optimize the flow of product value using various tools, such as the Program and
Solution Kanbans, boards, trackers
- Work closely with business SME and Product Owners to convert requests into best practices
user stories with clear definition, acceptance criteria, and persona representation
- Help the Product Owner/ Product Manager keep the product backlog in good shape and
groomed/ready for sprint planning

Professional and technical requirements:
- 5 to 7 years as Business Analyst with strong technical experience
- Must be extremely strong in writing/managing user stories and understand best practices for
agile project management tools (JIRA, CodeBeamer, etc.)
- Has successfully led large-scale software projects (with multiple tracks of work and teams in
multiple locations) from concept to delivery
- Strong software development and technical background.
- Worked in a capacity of Technical business Analyst working thru not only stories but understand
how the technical debt, technical specifications work.
- Exhibits servant leadership style towards the product manager, scrum master, development
team and the wider organization.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed and to facilitate virtual meetings for globally dispersed
teams.
- Experience in collaborating with teams on a more complex project or program decisions across
multiple areas, evaluating trade-offs and providing options and recommendations to senior
executives.
- Experience with managing senior stakeholders
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Flexible working hours: late evenings (US Collaboration)

Nice to Haves:
- Experience supporting research laboratory execution informatics
- Pharma / GxP experience
- Experience with deployment of cloud and SaaS solutions
- Knowledge of Diagnostics business
