Change Resource and Strategy Manager

Remote/London based

Large Insurance client

6 months initially


Working in the Central Change Team the change and Strategy manager is accountable for the adequate planning and management of change resources to be allocated to various change programmes across the organisation as well as continuously optimising the various sources of change capability and the existing bulk of change resources.


  • Accountable for designing and implementing traditional and innovative change capability sourcing strategies in order to meet the required levels of change resources
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships and acting as a sounding board and trusted advisor on change capability resourcing/deployment matters
  • Accountable for setting up and maintaining/continuously improve a change shared service that will constitute a bulk of available change capability to be allocated against various programmes across (change capability supply)
  • Accountable for anticipating change capability delivery challenges that may occur and work to resolve these through supporting and escalating if required
  • Accountable for the quality and training of the resources available to deploy into change activity across the business
  • Interpreting and analysing Management Information (MI) to provide trends, make connections and spot opportunities to reduce resourcing costs and optimise change portfolio RoI
  • Promoting the use of key resourcing systems to enable effective and efficient resourcing, driving continuous process improvement and the introduction and adoption of new resourcing technologies
  • Playing an active part in the Central Change team, sharing knowledge and best practice in terms of resource management and sourcing, to support the team's objectives
  • Required skills

    • Experience of implementing and tailoring sourcing strategies taking into account social and work trends
    • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills (influencing and negotiating, expectation and senior relationship management)
    • Proven ability to provide challenge and feedback to the team within a Matrix management structure
    • Using data analytics and Management Information (MI), networking internally and externally to advise the overall central change team and the commercial business units on resourcing options and solutions that help to drive growth and change portfolio profitability
    • Proven ability to challenge the status quo constructively at all levels and escalate appropriately
    • Developing and driving analytical solutions to improve profitability of the business unit.
