Solution Designer

£600 per day (inside IR35)

3 months

About the role-

The role involves working to define and shape end to end designs across the business. If you like a challenge and are keen to join the team then we'd love to hear from you.

End to End design of all the business' change, which may include: - billing, self-serve, eCommerce, distribution, Integration, retail and care enhancements.

Proactively engages with the business' Stakeholders to develop end-to-end solutions that meet their requirements within the agreed scope of projects to which they are assigned.

Engages with suppliers to ensure their proposed solution(s) meets the client's requirements.

Communicates effectively with anyone in any environment, eg able to translate complex/technical issues to meet the audience's competency level.

Key responsibilities-

Producing design documentation to define scope and user experience for assigned business projects.

Reviewing supplier specifications to ensure it matches the requirements of the key stakeholders.

Support end-to-end testing of new capability so that it is aligned with user's expectations and with minimal issues, post go-live.

Acting as the key contact for the client's business acceptance when post-implementation issues need further analysis or might impact more than one supplier.

Key skills, experience/behaviours

Experience working in Telecoms Industry, or similar IT-based role.

Solid technical background, including experience with one or more of: self-care systems, webservices, billing, hardened APIs, eCommerce and retail systems.

Good communications skills, with the ability to explain the impact of different options or issues to nontechnical stakeholders.

Proven track record of delivering solutions across multiple supplier platforms and impacting on multiple stakeholders, in a timely fashion and with minimal post-live issues.

Good understanding of the mobile industry.

Extensive understanding of MVNO systems architecture and business processes.

Experience in working with webservice and APIs.

Experience of one/more compliance frameworks such as PCI, Consumer Credit Act, FCA and Information Security Controls.

Experience of working with both Agile & traditional Waterfall delivery techniques including DevOps and realising cloud hosted services, monitoring and logging tools such as ELK and Splunk Business Principles and compliance.
