Oracle DBA/Design Consultant- Contract 6 months - Home/Flexible - £Excellent

My client is looking to engage the services of a Database Consultant (Oracle/Opera/Dynamics), the ideal candidate will own the full end to end Data cycle.

  • The creation/implementation of relation database that will encompass all relevant data sets.
  • Experience of Oracle/Opera/Dynamics Databases in major organsations
  • Proven DBA experience with Oracle based products to include Opera etc..
  • At least 3 years' experience of Oracle DBA/MS Dynamics CRM/Opera hospitality packages, skills and can demonstrate working in large corporate environment.
  • Demonstable Oracle DBA/Design experience preferably within Travel/Hospitality/Luxury goods markets
  • Ability to resolve/fix historical issues within database such duplications/missing information etc..
  • Understand and document business requirements, functional requirements and both technical and non-technical needs.
  • Help agree solution recommendations against these overall requirements and identify any gaps between requirements and solution design.
  • Act as a bridge/translator between technical & non-technical teams and vendors.
  • Ensure all projects have both a project team and steering group, which are managed and supported with clear, concise documentation and all actions are clearly articulated and managed.
  • That each project with have clearly defined roles within both project team and steering group.
  • Each project has an agreed end to end implementation plan including warranty periods etc.
  • The projects are carefully managed from start to end, with agreed milestone and project plans.
  • RAID registers are agreed with the business and technical teams to ensure clarity of each element.
  • Forecasts of costs and budgets are agreed & understood and carefully managed.
  • Scope & Requirement change requests are understood with impact analysis and any changes are signed off at steering group level.
  • Regularly report/represent projects to overall Strategic Projects Board', so presentation skills need to be of the highest levels.
  • A proven history of relevant experiences of both technical and non-technical projects.
  • Training and experience of Prince 2 or similar Project Management qualification and an internationally recognized relevant qualification.
  • Experience of presenting to Board level senior executives in an international setting.
  • Excellent command of English, and ideally good Greek language skills would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent speech communication skills necessary to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Team spirit, multitasking and proactive. Ability to work within a multicultural and fast-paced work environment.
  • Pleasant personality with excellent selling, negotiating and presentation skills.
  • Well-groomed with a positive attitude; passionate about the job and focused on providing high quality results.
  • Need a can-do' attitude and ability to cope with multiple deadlines.
  • Experience working within luxury hospitality/retail advantageous
