Description
Our London Market insurance client are hiring a Data Analyst to join the Data and MI team. The role is to work with the Aviation team (initially) to gather requirements for their specific data and reporting requirements around Cirium data and its integration into the wider data environment.
Work with the Data and MI team to ensure that the data structures are compliant with their standards, and with the IT team to ensure that the technical solution meets their standards.
Specify, develop, test and implement new reports, data extracts and applications in line with business requirements and data and enterprise architecture frameworks.
Specify enhancement and requirements and support the development of the data warehouse (where appropriate) and reporting tools in conjunction with software and services vendors.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years Lloyd's insurance experience with one year in a broker, LLIMIT or ACII highly desirable.
- Ideally, specific knowledge of Aviation data, particularly the Cirium dataset.
- Knowledge of data warehouse design principles such as Kimball
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts and structures, cubes and ETL processes
- Minimum 4 years commercial experience in data analysis.
- Proven track record of delivery to internal business community.
- Ability to communicate with a non-IT staff.
- Knowledge of SQL; Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS); .NET programming; Excel (advanced);
- Knowledge of Power BI and (ideally) Power Apps.
- Business analysis for requirements gathering
