Position: Senior Systems Engineer - Enterprise Azure
Project Duration: 6 months plus
Job Description
Senior Systems Engineer - must have excellent comm skills, to be able to work in a very demanding development team and high visibility project must be able to hold their own, be confident in their skills and abilities. Must have experience with Enterprise Azure Paas solutions, Azure apps services, SQL Azure, Azure Storage, Azure Site Recovery, Experience creating and managing virtual machines in Windows Azure and setting up communications.
The Ideal candidate will be responsible for
- Working with Corporate IT to manage AZURE/AWS systems deployment and lifecycle maintenance, including opening/managing requests and determining action plans and parties to involve.
- Responsible for triage and resolve service management system incidents and requests.
- Producing scripts for automation and report generation
- Responsible for application monitoring, data manipulation for widgets and generating reports, problem identification and management.
- Responsible for system data manipulation- tuning agents and collectors to glean wanted information.
- Capacity planning, reporting, and advising.
- Creating/updating processes that enable outcomes important to our team.
- Occasionally consult with individuals inside and outside of the team, including company customers and providing general customer support
- Leading proof of concept efforts
- Leading implementation efforts
- Responsible for priority bridge resolutions and interrupt-driven tasks
- Ensure secure computing practices in multiple vectors including operating systems, development and 3rd party tools, Firewall design and application.
- Assist with CI/CD software development enablement.
- Experience w/ VNets and Subnets
- Experience w Azure infrastructure mgmt. (Azure Web Roles, Azure Storage, Office365,), Azure Powershell and Portal.
- Experience with VSTS API customizing check-in policies, and installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of CI/CD
- Experience with azure Visual Studio Team Services
- Github experience
- Experience w/ Dockers, Hub, Docker Registry, (be able to create in real-time dashboards in production environments in Azure.
- Experience creating Kubernetes clusters, deploying Azure container services (AKS)
- Virtual machines, Virtual Networks, Network Security Group, Load Balancer, Traffic Manager,
- Route Tables, Storage accounts, Recovery Services Vaults, Key Vault, Azure Backup,
- Azure Monitoring, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Alerts, Metrics, Azure Management/Governance Policy, Azure Automation
- Azure Active Directory deployment, Azure AD Domain Services, Active Directory (on-premises and Azure IaaS)
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
- Understanding of underlying hardware technologies, understanding of AZURE functions, understanding of Microsoft technologies/software.
- ServiceNow navigation, general troubleshooting skills and understanding of business processes.
- Understanding of scripting language skills, analytical & statistical skills, automation techniques, orchestration and understanding of API architectures.
- Familiarity with New Relic would be preferred, but not required.
- Coding skills, SQL language skills.
- Skilled in SolarWinds Orion administration.
- Experience with scripting language.
- Experience with collecting data and organizing it into actionable information.
- Skill in deriving patterns from data sets and inferring a course of action in response.
- Business process design skills.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to stay focused on objectives.
- Demonstrated vendor management skills.
- Project planning, goal setting, time management and communication skills.
- Experience with creating software, sustaining code, creating builds and build deployment.
- Can research, absorb, and restate information so that it is easy to act on by the intended audience.
Required Skills
- 8+ years IT industry experience with Full stack and Restack skills.
- Must be well versed experience with a bachel
