Description

Our client is a major telecoms provider who is looking for a Finance Business Partner to help support its Digital Finance Team.
The Digital Finance team is part of the Finance function within the Consumer Customer Facing Unit (CFU) and has three key functions

. Provide Finance Business Partnering support for the Digital Business Strategy - a £300m 10-year investment case transforming the way we deliver sales and service to future and existing customers

. Support Digital Business Partners in business case evaluation and review, providing challenge to ensure decisions are optimised to deliver commercial P&L/SG&A benefits

. Stewardship of Digital Opex and Capex spend including budgeting, monthly reporting, business casing, deep dive analysis ultimately ensuring costs optimisation.
Key Activities:
. Support delivery of the month end process ensuring that commercial explanations support variances (both financial and non-financial)
. Responsibility for the Digital Non-Staff (Website hosting costs, licenses) build during budget cycles
. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of monthly reporting and drive continuous improvement and improve the quality of the underlying processes
. Deliver ad-hoc analysis of actuals vs budget vs prior year ensuring variances are explained
. Identify, scope and drive specific cost savings within the area, working with Business Partners to ensure savings are delivered. Work with colleagues in Centre to ensure Group best practice is implemented.
. Create and maintain numerous models that form the basis for strategic decisions
Skills/experience required:
. Understanding of Finance and key drivers of spend.
. Excel skills with the ability to analyse cost data to conclude on next steps/recommendations.
. Eye for detail, spotting issues quickly and ability to resolve
. Possesses good communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly the key messages.
. Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect. Builds strong working relationships.
. Hands on attitude.
. Typically, a degree level education and working towards an accountancy qualification
. Strong interpersonal skills and be a good influencer
. Background in cost management (preferable)
