We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Technical Project Manager to join their team for a six-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
The Technical Project Manager will be aligned with a number of Project Managers to provide line management, coaching and support. In addition the role will be managing various escalations, process remediation and reporting activities. The role is expected to collaborate closely with the Program Manager providing updates on items under management in their area to ensure the program as a whole is delivered effectively. The key scope of the role will center around activities required to improve program delivery through raising output quality and looking for improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with other project managers to ensure delivery is managed in line with best practice.
- Prepare for and participates in senior stakeholder meetings.
- Assist with escalation management across multiple teams.
- Review and improve quality of project deliverables in collaboration with project managers.
- Handling a budget and operating plan for the program and being accountable for delivering against targeted benefits.
- Define and executes program governance to ensure appropriate controls and visibility.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience working in a large scale, Investment Bank Technology, Financial Services or consulting Organisation.
- Experience of working on a Greenfield programme of work
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale technical projects in a hands-on capacity
- Strong Scaled Agile skills
- Strong financial and resource management, working with budgets in the region of £15m annually and running large, global teams is a must
- Experience of working in a complex, high-paced environment with a global team
