Accountabilities
- Support delivery of the month end process ensuring that commercial explanations support variances (both financial and non-financial)
- Responsibility for the Digital Non-Staff (Website hosting costs, licenses) build during budget cycles
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of monthly reporting and drive continuous improvement and improve the quality of the underlying processes
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis of actuals vs budget vs prior year ensuring variances are explained
- Identify, scope and drive specific cost savings within the area, working with Business Partners to ensure savings are delivered.
- Work with colleagues in Centre to ensure Group best practice is implemented.
- Create and maintain numerous models that form the basis for strategic decisions
Required skills and experience
- Understanding of Finance and key drivers of spend.
- Excel skills with the ability to analyse cost data to conclude on next steps/recommendations.
- Eye for detail, spotting issues quickly and ability to resolve
- Possesses good communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly the key messages.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect. Builds strong working relationships.
- Hands on attitude.
- Typically, Degree level and working towards an accountancy qualification
- Strong interpersonal skills and good influencer
- Background in cost management preferable
