Description

We are currently recruiting for a Lean Engineer role on a 3 months contract for a client based in London at the daily rate of £580 per day.

Job Purpose:
This role will involve applying Lean and Six Sigma expertise to large simplification programmes, customer experience projects, and other initiatives designed to drive continuous process improvement or process efficiency.

Main responsibilities:
*The role requires a passion for working with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful change in the ways they work.
*knowledge of formal process improvements techniques (Lean, Six Sigma) must be coupled with a pragmatic approach to working with people of different backgrounds and skills to implement effective and sustainable change.
*The candidate will be expected to project manage multiple parallel process improvement projects.
*In leading the projects the candidate shall follow a recognisable project management methodology (eg, DMAIC) and use a combination of Lean and Six Sigma tools to implement impactful and sustainable process change.
*To identify the relevant subject matter experts and build effective cross functional teams for the delivery of the relevant project.
*The projects must be handed over to the process owners such that all changes have been documented, trained and appropriate control processes implemented, ie ensuring the sustainability of the change.

Skills Knowledge and experience:
* Project management experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
* Six Sigma Black Belt or similar process improvement methodology (including use of statistical and quantitative methods).
* Lean process improvement methodology.
* Experience of implementing process change from initiation through to post-change stabilisation.
* Experience of flexing the use of tools and methodologies to fit the working environment.
* Experience of implementing process changes within a financial services organisation.
* Knowledge of process management concepts and frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, Systems Thinking, etc.).
* Knowledge of statistical analysis tools.
* Knowledge of SLA management (definition and operation).
* Knowledge of change management frameworks.
* Knowledge of insurance industry processes.
* Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build effective teams that leverage different skill-sets and perspectives.
* Able to utilise technically difficult tools (statistical analysis, process modelling, etc.) whilst keeping non-technical people engaged.
* Taking project from initiation through to completion.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Change leadership and management skills.
