Lead Sitecore Technical Consultant

£520 per day Inside IR35

Contract Length: 3 months

Remote/London

The Lead Sitecore Technical Consultant will oversee multiple teams responsible the delivery of application support and/or change for core Sitecore platform.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the intake, prioritisation, and delivery of a high volume of small/medium Portal BAU changes from a range of critical functions and upstream projects.
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of application support and small fixes within the BAU teams
  • Responsible for the delivery of Changes for Status review
  • Employ Agile delivery methodology to guide delivery team through the change life cycle providing technical subject matter expertise to ensure delivery is aligned with best practice and strategic application objectives.
  • Maintain and understand the detail of an evolving pipeline of future change to support a weekly governance review and alignment with the evolving business priorities
  • Alignment of business demand with available resource within BAU change team and management of dependencies with other resources across a range of disciplines in supporting functions including Architecture, Environment Management and Testing.
  • Validate the developers output to confirm that all supporting evidence is being created/stored at each stage of the life cycle including technical design documentation, test evidence and other relevant documentation.
  • Work in Tandem with Testing Manager to validate the technical design and testing approach prior to any development work commencing ensuring that these reviews align with the overall release timetable.
  • Peer review and mentoring of all development work/developers during all stages of the development life cycle.
  • Ongoing assessment of the development resources, approach, output, and skill set to identify areas for continuous improvement within the development team.
  • Ownership of the overall BAU delivery plan for each change cycle from initial assessment/review through to Service Transition activities.
  • Provide capacity estimates to support informed decision-making of weekly Governance Groups.
  • At each stage of the life cycle liaise with Application Support Manager and other key resources across the IT functions to ensure resources are appropriately assigned to support at each stage of the SDLC.
  • Identify capability gaps with partner resources and propose/implement measures to resolve including partner resource transition and knowledge-transfer.
  • Track and report the progress of all change through the release cycle escalating to Business and IT stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risk as required.
  • Prepare and distribute timely communication throughout the change life cycle aligned with needs and expectations of stakeholders.
  • Maintain various workstream artefacts to support IT management and business understanding of change cycle including Status Reports and resource management plans.
  • Align with current test strategy and approach ensuring that documentation and artefacts supporting existing entry/exit criteria are planned and delivered in line with Test Manager expectations and deadlines throughout Unit->SIT->UAT test stages.
  • Discuss and plan environment and data requirements supporting planned release cycle.
  • Present changes to the Change Advisory Board with all relevant documentation and evidence
  • Resolve and escalate business and IT conflicts to ensure continuous delivery of change.

This role is Inside IR35 so applicants must be willing to engage via an Umbrella Company.
