Description

Commercial managers needed by market leading Fintech/Blockchain technology company. You will be responsible for defining and executing our commercial strategy, growing our business development team and helping to position our products within the market, which will be key in supporting our pivot to a more product-focused organisation. This role will suit an individual who has experience in scaling and growing teams and has demonstrable experience in supporting the growth ambitions of a product-focused organisation.

This role is outside IR35

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure we structure and negotiate commercial deals to maximise our revenue opportunities.
  • Line management of a commercial team focused on pricing, partnerships, commercial analysis, and business development.
  • Setting the delivery of our strategy to maximise the commercial outcome.
  • Owning the commercial performance of the team and ensuring targets are met.
  • Ensuring there is a strong understanding of market, regulatory, policy, and competitor developments that may impact our strategy.
  • Mastermind business growth strategies to help meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop commercial and strategic partnerships to support the deployment of our solutions and services into the market across our key verticals and territories.
  • Work with other department heads to determine company goals and KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the business, including through partnerships, mergers, and new markets.
  • Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients.
  • Keep up to date with new trends and developments that may impact our commercial strategies.
  • Work closely with HR and Director, Commercial & Strategy, to plan and execute on the recruitment strategy for the commercial team, supporting our strategic goals.

What We Look For:

The candidate will have the following knowledge and skills:

  • 5+ years' experience in managing commercially focused teams.
  • Experience in working across finance, technology, or start-ups/scale-ups.
  • Exceptional management and people skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrable new product development experience, from concept to launch.
  • A proven history of successful leadership.
  • Exceptional writing and communicative skills.
  • A fundamental understanding of or interest in blockchain technology and solutions.
  • A track record of managing and developing individuals and teams.
  • Demonstrated experience of business growth through the effective implementation of commercial, business development and sales strategies.
  • Superb negotiation capabilities.
  • Must be team-focused and results focused.
