Duration: Immediate start till end of 2021 with an option to extend into 2022

At least 7+ years of experience. The Role is a techno functional position - considered an expert in system implementation - with an emphasis on providing design and warehouse modelling expertise in a Retail/CPG domain
Experience in designing and simplifying the data modelling so that business users can easily understand the data model and easily find and pull when they need from it.
Ability to make data models more efficient, more relational, and easily reuseable
Experience in Datamodelling on AZURE and on premise environments; such as retailer POS data, Google Analytics data, SAP HANA data, SalesForce etc.
Experience in pushing all data to SQL views, and then into Power BI dataflows.
Work with Leadership and business teams to assess project scope and define project plans (schedule and cost estimates)
Deep experience designing and deploying end to end solutions and data models with a cloud platform's analytic services
Experience in the Software Implementation Lifecycle (SILC) including collection of requirements, documentation of specifications (controls and outputs, workflows, logical processes), and overseeing application design and implementation.
Analyze and translate business requirements into Conceptual, Logical, functional, Physical, technical data model requirements and design
Research and evaluate capability with other systems, alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solution for system design
Advises on mechanisms for delivering optimal solutions that demonstrate effective business-IT alignment
Experience designing database environments, analysing production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance
Experience with data modelling tools like Erwin, MS Visio, Power Designer and big data specific tools (Hadoop based)
Deep experience building cloud data solutions specifically on Azure, Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Snowflake and migrating from on-prem to cloud
Defining data flows, ie, which parts of the organization generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition
Experience and good understanding of the business processes and domain of retail and consumer products etc.
Experience with ETL and PowerBI reporting tool to be able to move basic data for processing and reporting.
Experience with creating business rules for transformation of data to meet the enterprise needs
Well versed with governance, security, compliances, policies and guidelines
Strong English communication skills and a working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps concepts
