CTA Controller
Location - London/Hybrid Working
Rate - £600 - £769/Day PAYE or Umbrella
Start date - ASAP
Contract - 6 months (Potential for Contract extension)
Our financial services client is currently seeking an CTA Controller to join their team in the London office/remote working.
Job description:
- Working alongside the transformation teams in Risk and Compliance, to drive the execution of the cost reduction plans, and manage risk of works streams not delivering their expected targets.
- Develop relationships with key CAOs and become a trusted business partner
- Provide business decision support for the transformation of the Global Functions
- Proactively look to engage the relevant functional contacts on key topics of concern which may affect the progress of the transformation program
- Use MI & performance KPIs to interpret performance and highlight risks & opportunities in hitting costs and FTE targets alongside appropriate recommendations for actions
- Provide insight and analysis that drives business/operational decisions for functional and Finance senior management teams
- Provide financial and strategic planning direction and play a key role in the Annual Operating Plan process
- Liaison with Global Functions, regional Finance teams and the CAOs; drive globally consistent, timely and accurate reporting of costs, working closely with the line manager, other team members (on and off shore) and regional teams
- Within the overall Global Finance function, play a key role in developing a world class MI Finance team which productively influences the various regional and functional finance teams in supporting the Group's strategy
- Establish and maintain a high performance culture, with effective utilization of offshore and regional teams.
- Play a key role in the development of Business Insights within the wider team
- Timely & effective management of all regulatory, and operational risk matters
- Clear operational procedures established, documented and complied with by all.
Essential experience required
- An excellent level of business analysis experience requiring strong technical and commercial understanding of what drives the numbers reported
- Proven leadership and relationship management skills in dealing with all levels, with the confidence to interact with senior management and make measured decisions which may have far reaching implications
- Exceptional drive and commitment; ability to work and thrive in a fast changing, results driven environment; and proven ability in handling competing priorities
- Sound judgment, decision making and problem solving abilities

- A self starter who is not afraid to speak up and face a challenge; also open to listen to guidance and learn as they go
- Good understanding of the Group's strategy, commercially minded and customer focused

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
- Experience of running an Annual Operating Plan
- Good systems skills (including use of TM1, Excel, Words, Powerpoints)
- Prior experience of working with offshore/satellite teams
- A minimum of 4 year's prior experience of managing the cost base of a Back Office function within a top tier financial services organisation
