Job Title: Nuclear Outage Scheduler
Pay rate: Negotiable
Location: Seascale, Cumbria
Contract Duration: Initially 12-month contract
Clearance: SC Clearance will be carried out prior to start date

Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a large public sector company who operate within the nuclear industry and are currently seeking an experienced Nuclear Outage Scheduler to work on site in Seascale.

As a Nuclear Outage Scheduler, you will develop and coordinate long-term outage plans and short-term outage schedules.

Brief Description:
The role of Transmission Outage Scheduler is to develop and coordinate long-term outage plans and short-term outage schedules. Scheduling activities are crucial to support safe and efficient Outage execution. Schedulers execute the scheduling of activities in a timely and effective manner to ensure that Nuclear Power Plant equipment and systems function to meet design requirements and technical specifications. Outage Schedulers focus will be schedule development/maintenance related to preparation, planning, and execution of Planned and Forced Outages with nuclear safety being the overriding priority.

Essential skills:
*Previous experience using Primavera.
*Experience in work planning functions
*Proficient in excel.
*Working knowledge of scheduling concepts.
*Ability to co-ordinate and manage information.
*Present information to a high standard of quality within challenging timescales.
*Ability to work within a team and communicate to stakeholders.

Desirable Skills
*Knowledge of the Integrated Work Management process.

The Ideal Candidate:
*Establishing EPS (Enterprise Project Structure) and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) to support setting the project baseline aligned to all stakeholder interfaces.
*Work within the Integrated Project Team to quantify scope, strategies and interdependencies.
*Co-ordinate the inputs for the Integrated schedule into standard format and required level of detail both internal and supply chain schedules.
*The utilisation of metrics and available tools, the collation and understanding of performance data (installed quantities, expended labour hours and other progress measurements of direct hire and subcontract works being undertaken), and subsequent reporting.
*To ensure accurate and timely planning, including progress reporting, effective measurement of key dates and milestones, float erosion, critical path analysis and
supporting Earned Value Analysis.
*Integration and assurance of data, responsibility to maintain/improve quality and standards.
*Identifies and tracks all changes or potential changes to the agreed scope, ensuring schedule impact is given immediate visibility with appropriate.
*To monitor and report status and trends, including areas of concern on current baseline position.
*Periodic analysis of job status to ensure effective delivery of approved scope with feedback to Knowledge Management.
*To support close out and shared lessons learned (LFE).
*Consistent preparation & dissemination of reports to agreed format to support Integrated Schedule.
