Description

We are looking for a Business Information Manager for a client based in Nashville, TN.

Role:

The Business Information Manager - Integrated Supply Chain has the overall responsibility of serving as the strategic interface between the Global Process Owner (GPO), Business Unit and/or Process Tower (Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics) for the purpose of business information technology, strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.

The Business Information Manager serves at the business relationship link between business and IM at the executive level. The BIM provides highly valued, strategic, consulting level support and guidance through key IT initiatives. Will communicate decisions, priorities, relevant project information to appropriate level of staff while serving as a lead role in enabling the process tower to achieve objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Business Relationship Management

  • Develop, manage and enhance relationships with key business/function stakeholders, actively manage their expectations and satisfaction
  • Represent business/function ambitions, requirements and expectations on IM towards the IM organization and represent IM on business/function executive level
  • Ensure that relevant stakeholders are involved in specification of new services and/or major upgrades to existing services
  • Ensure sufficient and coherent IM communication towards the business/functions

Business Information Management

  • Co-create Process Tower (or BU, if applicable) IM Strategy and Budget in coordination and alignment with the GPO
  • Support strategic and innovative thinking in the business through clear articulation of IM capabilities and proactive value propositions
  • Use system and process knowledge to provide (business process) harmonization opportunities and proposals to business counterparts
  • Ensure coherence in strategic development of IM in line with agreed Enterprise Architecture
  • Ensure that IM demand is understood, and where agreed, captured and prioritized in IPM (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Ensure all IM demand is assessed; aligned with business strategy and architecture; quantified and checked for feasibility including appropriate project delivery method Agile and Waterfall
  • Help to identify IM delivery conflicts, recommending escalation where appropriate for resolution
  • Develop high quality business requirements in order to ensure proper estimation of cost, time and resources can be done.
  • Discuss and align concepts with IM COE (intersection with architecture development and innovation management process)
  • Develop an ideation culture and facilitate on go/no go for new ideas
  • Manage and challenge the business case during IPM stages and stage gates
  • Develop project estimates & complete financial model (costs, savings, revenue opportunities, investment horizon, etc.) together with the COE's
  • Orchestrate through COE's to get to high level solution architectures for initiatives
  • Orchestrate through COE's on delivery of services and projects, ensure performance at agreed levels and take actions where needed
  • Orchestrate through with GBS-IM Service Delivery Manager to ensure IM Services are documented through Business Service Level Agreements
  • Manage, track and report on IM Budget and realization
  • Manage, track and report on Process Tower or BU IM Objectives and Scorecard in alignment with IM
  • To actively measure and manage value of services as defined in the business case after project completion
  • To provide fact-based evidence of generated value using technology
  • Participate in field research in pursuit of new solution and to evaluate fit for business purpose cost effective solutions.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor/master's degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study
  • Excellent understanding of Integrated supply chain process knowledge & experience in IT Technology towards Manufacturing & Logistics.
  • Experience working in other parts of the business and/or in another company
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 8+ years relevant experience in demand management or account management role
  • Good in building lasting value-added relationships and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in business process analysis, defining/implementing user requirements and IT projects
  • Sparring partner for Senior Executive level and adding value here
  • Broad interest in and knowledge of IM
  • Strong in strategic topics, adding value to vision and strategy
  • 3+ years' experience in managing stakeholders in business environment.
  • Good facilitator in getting commitment and buy-in

The professional is expected to be onsite in Nashville TN.
