Business Analyst - SC Cleared

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Business Analyst - SC Cleared

Key Requirements:

- Utilise Agile methodologies, agreed within the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Lead workshops, interviews, focus groups and other techniques to effectively understand the problems and needs (likely to be technical rather than business or end user, but all will need to be considered).
- Translate the problems and needs into a set of detailed requirements for the solution that align to best practice methodology, with the appropriate use of epics, features, stories and defined acceptance criteria.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment across business and technical stakeholders. Ensure issues and risks raised are resolved in an appropriate manner.
- Agree requirements with stakeholders.
- Document requirements in a layout and format that can be easily understood by all stakeholders (TBA within the Agile team, but typically following INVEST principles and in the "as a..., I want...., so that..." syntax and defining appropriate acceptance criteria using the "GIVEN, WHEN, THEN" syntax).
- Communicate effectively across both technical and business stakeholders, ensuring the understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria is aligned.
- Understand business processes and activities that impact and that are impacted by the product or service. Selecting the appropriate best practice techniques to model business processes, data flows and data models, existing and new, in order to achieve consensus.
- Work closely with colleagues in Business Analysis, Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture and Software Engineering to identify and understand problems, escalate problem items which are outside the scope of this technical team appropriately, gain consensus to problem, requirement and solution definitions, and generally to ensure alignment across disciplines and models.
- Support in the production of business cases, this includes market analysis from a technical and non-technical point of view and producing cost/benefit analysis for proposed solutions.

Key Experience:

- Experienced in variety of Business Analysis tools and techniques, incl (not exhaustive):
* Jira and Confluence.
* Stories and Acceptance Criteria/Conditions of Satisfaction (likely to be technical/job stories rather than end user stories).
* Describing Needs, Value/Benefit, Consumers, Sources and Priority.
* Story Mapping.
* Data Mapping.
* Data Flow Mapping.
* Process Mapping.
* SIPOC.
* Workshops, interviews, focus groups, surveys as appropriate.
- Proactive, quick learner, able to hit the ground running, and work both independently and as part of the team to plan and execute activities to meet deadlines.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Team player- particularly in remote working environment.
- Communication skills and behaviours across all mediums - f2f, online, telephone etc - in collaborating, building effective relationships, producing and presenting required materials for different audiences.

This role will be Inside of IR35, so you will be required to use an Umbrella Company.
