Description
Government client seeking a UI Product Owner to work on a data and traceability programme currently being built in an Azure environment. The UI Product Owner will own and prioritise the public facing and Back Office web applications of a Service the client is building.
The UI Product Owner will:
- Engage with users and stakeholders through many channels and set measurable goals for the Product which must then be reported on in a structured way
- Own the web application's backlog items to be delivered, represent the users of the service and make recommendations on scope and efficiently prioritise the backlog
- Work at the programme level and with other programme service providers to ensure that the deliverables are aligned to the overall programme goals and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to co-develop products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
- Partner with stakeholders to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritisation
- Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
- Work closely with species Product Owners and other channel Owners to create and maintain a product backlog prioritised against business value
- Lead the planning of product releases and set the expectation for delivery of new services and functions
- Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, define milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
The UI Product Owner will ideally have:
- Previous working experience as a Product Owner preferably using Microsoft Azure DevOps for backlog management and prioritisation
- In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proven track record of delivering solutions with a customer-first mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
- Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future releases/opportunities
The UI Product Owner is required for 8 months initially; the office is in Reading but is remote based; outside of IR35.
