Group Manager - AML/KYC - Liverpool

Prestigious Liverpool based client requires an accomplished Group Manager to manage the KYC, AML and Financial Crime oversight functions. Through the adoption of relevant tools, and in line with policy/internal requirements and regulatory expectation, maintain records of the governance structure, relevant forums and their membership. Enable required outputs of information related to governance arrangements as ready inputs to support other regulatory processes eg CRD lV (MRT), SMCR. This role is inside IR35 and you will need to work via an umbrella company.

*Advises on, develops tools and resources and embeds behavioural best practice related to production of Management Information in all Boards and Committees across the region.
*Drives the feedback and iterative improvement loop for effective and efficient governance through self-assessment process and training.
*Leads on components of regulatory change projects where required, and provides executive sponsorship of programmes to remediate/drive execution of process improvements/operational remediation.
*Responsible for the process of checking policies for applicability and relevance for businesses and legal entities in the EMEA region.
*Ensures that controls and procedures are in place to comply with the FCA's statutory objective of reducing financial crime and ensuring compliance with policies.
*Receives internal reports, undertakes the internal review of all suspicions and determines if such suspicions have substance and require disclosure.
*Prepare annual reports for management and external regulatory bodies on compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations
