We are seeking a Procurement Manager!
Duration: 6-months Contract
Location: Bournemouth - but working mostly remote for the time being
Team Dynamic: The role will be to lead the team delivering the Commissioning and Procurement workstream
Responsibilities:
The role will be to lead the team delivering the Commissioning and Procurement workstream. It involves developing a high level and then detailed design for a Commissioning and Procurement Centre of Excellence for the council and integrating a procurement cost reduction workstream that will be delivered by a sub-contractor.
- Experience of procurement within the public sector required.
- Preferably experience within local government. Understanding/experience of commissioning services desirables.
- Experience of developing and implementing operating models, including high level and detailed design activities.
- Experience of leading third party spend reduction/procurement cost reduction projects.
- Understanding of broad technology enablement options for procurement. Desirable experience of supporting clients with requirements development and package selection.
