Role: WMS Project Manager
Domain: IT/Retail

We are looking for an experienced WMS implementation project manager with proven
skills in full life cycle project management. The successful contractor will be responsible for working with our client's operations team on our client's current Manhattan WMOS 2008 at their warehouse with their Cloud solution.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the WMS (Warehouse management systems) delivery working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Offer best practice project management advice and recommendations, while aligning to our internal framework and reporting mechanisms as much as possible.
- Providing client with WMS technical expertise/knowledge and seeking guidance from other experts when necessary acting as the main interface with the solution provider.
- Offer creative solutions to solve client's business and technical problems.
- Work with client and 3rd party supplier to understand needs and provide meaningful solutions.
- Liaise with our in-house PM and other colleagues who will manage the interface development (our OMS/CMS is GCP based and built by our own development teams)
- Empower the project teams so that they are fully engaged, their skills utilised in the project and understand the business goals and objectives, so that they feel they are making a valuable contribution to the business
- Manage sponsor and stakeholder expectations of project deliverables. Define, manage and deliver project communications, including progress updates and steering groups
- Responsible for the management of project risks, issues, dependencies and blockers, ensuring they are communicated, managed and mitigated appropriately
- Proactively manage relationships with third parties during project activities; managing delivery performance and adherence to agreed governance
- Manage the people side of change by increasing stakeholder engagement, involvement and adoption to minimise resistance
- Working with third party and internal business analysts to provide process mapping and analysis
- Acting as a point of liaison between the third party provider and our internal IT Infrastructure Architecture team

The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years as a project and/or Programme Manager running large, complex projects in a variety of environments and using various waterfall and Agile methodologies
- 5+ years specific experience with large scale WMS implementations
- 5+ years delivering supply chain/logistics projects
