Overview:
To support the information model development and delivery for our client, through the identification, application and control of metadata and data models. To provide analysis and recommendations that support the Programme in optimising its information resources and underpinning information standards for the BIM execution plan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, update and maintain the Programme's metadata schemas and glossaries to support information container implementation in a diverse supplier environment.
- Review, interpret and provide detailed analysis of Programme metadata and the application of relevant information and data standards, validating implementation, investigating deviations and making recommendations for improvements.
- Provide ongoing support to Programme and information management colleagues in the development and implementation of metadata requirements.
- Implement and maintain metadata maps, identifying how asset metadata is used within Programme processes and integrated within the common data environment.
- Establish a thorough understanding of the Programme's data models and support their development.
- Support the promotion of new data model content into enterprise architecture, ensuring that it is consistent with existing definitions.
- Inform the development of data governance processes for the Programme, ensuring information revision and auditability considerations are captured.
- Experience of deploying metadata and reference data governance processes in a complex stakeholder or supplier environment, or experience gained in a similar complex programme environment
- Understanding of taxonomies and data standards, including their application.
- Ability to generate and interpret conceptual and logical data models using appropriate standards and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
