Solutions Architect/Designer
Whitehall Resources are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect/Designer for an initial 3 month remote contract.
Successful candidates will have proven experience in fulfilling a wide range of Solution Level Architecture and High-Level Design activities.
As Solution Architect/Designer, you will have worked with Architects and Business teams to ensure that solutions are effective and deliver against the overall Business requirements, IT strategies and Blueprints. Excellent interpersonal and consulting skills will be key, as will the ability to demonstrate thought leadership in both High Level Design, and the Energy Retail Industry.
You will be working with the Lead Solution Designer, and you will be a key member of the Solution Design Authority that approves Programme Architectures and High-Level Designs.
You will explicitly own the relationship with SMEs Designers and the Programme SME Architects to ensure adherence to Programme Architecture Models and Frameworks.
Industry Experience
An in-depth understanding of, Energy Retail and related industries or a background in Telco would also be of use.
A level of focus in at least one area of retail eg
- eCommerce
- Customer Relationship Management
- Finance & Payments
- Contact Centre Implementations etc.
Solutions Architecture & Design Experience
- Confidence to present solutions and influence key stakeholders
- Owning and creating complete Solution Architectures and designs including all associated documentation and adhering to related Technical Governance requirements, critical to this is System Process Swimlane Design
- Ensure that solutions will meet budgetary constraints
- Experienced in TMForum Telco Open API Modelling
- Preferably experienced in at least one Architecture framework (eg TOGAF, Zachman etc.)
- Technical Management of the Solutions Architecture into Design and Delivery
Technology Experience
- PaaS, SaaS, Implementations, IaaS skills nice to have.
- DevOps and Agile Approaches to SDLC
- PACE Layering and Micro Services Approaches and Implementations
- A background in Oracle SaaS and PaaS Technical Implementations
- Integration Implementation exposure from a Solutions Architecture perspective (SOA, ESB & Microservices)
- UX/UI development including CX/CJ driven Design
Personal Skills & Cultural Fit
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to professionally deal with difficult, highly political workplace situations, with minimal peer-support
- Good personal organisation, and delivery focused skills, including Consulting background if possible
- Demonstrable confidence and enthusiasm about technology, innovation and problem solving
