Accountant - US GAAP
Accountant required by leading fintech organization based in London.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the month and quarter end close process and related responsibilities, classifies and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with US GAAP.
- Performs non-routine financial analysis and moderately complex modelling projects.
- Prepares and files various compliance filings on a monthly basis under the supervision of other team members (VAT, Corporate tax,)
- Participate in the preparation of Statutory accounts & prepare various supporting schedules and support for annual statutory & ad hoc tax audits
- Various project and ad hoc analysis to support business decisions. Aid internal customers in compiling financial information; provide technical advice and analytical support.
Education:
- ACA or similar qualified from top 10 UK firm
- 2/3 Years Post qualified experience
- Previous experience at US parented company essential (Tech preferred)
Required Experience:
- Strong technical (US GAAP) and financial accounting expertise.
- Month end close experience (Journals and reconciliations)
- Compliance filing experience (Financial statement preparation, VAT, Corporate tax)
- Large accounting software package expertise desirable (Oracle Financials preferred)
- Business/Accounting degree. Professional Accounting designation required. Strong Excel skills.
