Investor Relations Analyst - £250 to £350 per day - Remote/Newbury

Our clients team have an opportunity for an Analyst to join their Investor Relations team.

The Opportunity

The Investor Relations team manages the relationship and communications between our client and its owners. This is an integral role managing the investor and analyst communications programme on behalf of our CEO, CFO and Head of investor relations to build long term investor and analyst support.

The role involves some independent objectives as well as delivering work as part of the broader team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for investors, potential investors and analysts.
  • Managing relationships with sell-side research analysts including the maintaining of the Sell Side consensus model.
  • Communicate market sentiment to internal stakeholders
  • Producing all materials necessary to support annual and financial results: including the development of key messages, Q&A, RNS announcements and investor/analyst presentations.
  • Preparation of materials to support all other activities in the IR calendar, including the AGM and capital markets days.
  • Preparation of relevant materials to support investor/analyst communication on other capital markets announcements, such as M&A activity
  • Preparing reports to update on the IR strategy and activity for each Board meeting and briefing the CEO/CFO on the capital markets' view of the business.

Skills & experience

  • Graduate qualification eg Finance, Economics, MBA or similar. ACA desirable.
  • Proven track record of communication in different forums particularly in producing external reports and public documents.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and ability to understand the impact of complex financial scenarios on company valuation.
  • Ability to influence others, deliver goals often under highly fluid, ambiguous and pressured circumstances.
  • Long-term strategic focus.
  • Ideally with experience of supporting investor relations and dealing with different corporate situations, such M&A, etc. (ie IR role or a role in investment/banking).
  • Preference for someone with a knowledge of IR and equity market practices and disclosure rules for stock exchanges on which Micro Focus shares are traded.
